You won't believe what Victoria and David Beckham decided to do when Brooklyn first took a girl out

Dad David Beckham must have left the 16-year-old mortified on Tuesday night as he happily told the world the hilarious story of Brooklyn‘s first date during an appearance on The Late Late Show in America. And it will make you CRINGE!
David, 39, revealed to host and good pal James Corden how wife Victoria made him go WITH poor Brooklyn when the teenager first took a girl out to dinner. Er, awkward!
‘He’s going to hate me for this,’ the former footballer admitted as he began telling the tale.
‘I’m fine with [him dating], because on his first date – when he was about 14 and a half – it was Valentine’s day so he said, “I’d love to take this girl to dinner.”
‘I said, “Okay, great.” I spoke to Victoria, and she was like, “Really?”, so I said, “Yeah, he’s going to do it.”
‘She said, “Okay, make sure you take him and then make sure you sit in the restaurant.” So I was like, “Really, you’re going to make me do that?” and she said “Yeah, that’s the only way I’m going to let him go.”‘
We bet Brooklyn loved his mum for that – not! Luckily David – who also has sons Romeo, 12, and Cruz, 10, as well as toddler daughter Harper – wasn’t seated at the same table as Brooklyn and his date. It’ll be a different story when Harper hits the dating scene though…
‘So we took him to a small sushi restaurant and he sat at the sushi bar and I sat about five tables back,’ the doting dad revealed.
‘By the way, my daughter is four years old. When she gets to that age, I will be closer than that!’
David also spoke of how he encouraged Brooklyn to get his weekend job at a café in London so that he could earn his own pocket money.
Whilst it was hilare to hear about the teenager’s cringeworthy first date experience, we totally feel for him having it shared on live TV. And to make matters worse, Brooklyn was actually IN THE AUDIENCE as his dad told the story. Talk about embarrassing!
