Posh’s sister Louise Adams sets the record straight on those divorce rumours

It’s been a stormy couple of months for Victoria and David Beckham. Last week, Now watched as the couple struggled through a child-free date in Nobu – barely speaking, you could have cut the atmosphere with a knife.
But the pair are continuing to put on a united front and, speaking exclusively to Now, Victoria’s sister Louise Adams is adamant the couple – who’ve been married for 17 years – are fine. ‘They’re really happy,’ Louise told us. And those rumours? ‘I don’t see them, I don’t acknowledge it.’ And it’s the same with any negative stories, like when Louise and her sister’s shops were compared, she adds: ‘Victoria said to just ignore it. All the time, with everything, she said just ignore it.’
Louise faced ridicule when she opened her own clothing outlet Hidden Closet last November. With Victoria’s flagship store in the heart of London’s Mayfair, cruel comparisons have been made with Louise’s shop – which sells cheaper clothing in a modest spot in sleepy Hoddesdon. But Victoria’s supported her new venture and Louise even credits her older sister with making her business a success.
‘It was really unfair to compare [the shops],’ Louise explained. ‘You know they’re from completely different spectrums but, you know what, it was good for business. So that’s how I have to think of it. People who never knew I had a store before have been ringing up and visiting.’

The sisters have always been close – with Victoria last year moving the family closer to Louise’s home in Hertfordshire. Something Louise is revelling in. ‘I like having her living nearer to me now,’ Louise adds. ’It’s great having our families together – it’s good. We’re both just working mums, providing for our families.’
