The Spice Girls and Eva Longoria join David Beckham and family to celebrate his 40th in style
When it comes to birthdays the Beckhams don’t do things by halves and they’ve pretty much outdone themselves with the way they’ve celebrated David‘s 40th.
To toast the milestone age, David jetted off to Marrakech in Morocco on Friday along with wife Victoria and kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, just in time for the big day on Saturday.
An excited Victoria, 41, posted a photo with her hubby as they prepared to catch their flight and wrote: ‘So excited to be celebrating David’s birthday x #DB40 x vb 🎂🎉🎁❤️✈️ x vb’
Yep, so momentous was the occasion that it had its own hashtag. David kicked off the celebrations by joining Instagram (FINALLY!) and shared a sexy selfie to thank his followers for their birthday messages. Er, we feel like we should be thanking YOU for that picture, David – phwoar!
‘Good morning and hello! It’s great to finally be on Instagram, been a long time coming but I can’t wait to start sharing all my special moments with you,’ the ex-footballer captioned the picture.
‘Thank you for all your birthday messages so far. Looking forward to a great day with friends and family x’
Cue a flood of photos throughout the day from David, Victoria and Brooklyn (who, FYI, reached a whopping 2 million Instagram followers on his dad’s big day) as they enjoyed themselves in the luxurious resort.
Soon it was party time and the family were joined by perhaps the most awesome mix of famous guests EVER for David‘s bash. Amongst the attendees were the Spice Girls (minus Mel B) and Victoria‘s long-time pal Eva Longoria.
Eva seemed to be having a whale of a time with Victoria‘s bandmates and joked that she’d become the latest member of the group in a cute Instagram snap.
‘I’m the new Spice Girl! #LatinaSpice @victoriabeckham @emmabunton @MelanieCmusic @gerihalliwell,’ she wrote.
Meanwhile Brooklyn was hanging out with magician David Blaine. The illusionist later popped up in a post-party photo taken by David‘s sister Joanne at 7am, where he’s seen standing next to the football star’s mum – random.
Other famous faces at the do included Gordon and Tana Ramsay as well as Hollywood actress Liv Tyler, whose boyfriend is David‘s good pal David Gardner.
It was clearly one hell of a night and it’s a relief to know that even the A-list still suffer like the rest of us when they’ve overdone it.
David shared THE cutest photo of 3-year-old daughter Harper trying to decorate his hair the morning after the massive do and wrote: ‘Someone is trying to make daddy feel pretty today after a heavy night’ Awww!
Meanwhile Eva sought solace with Emma Bunton and Tana Ramsay the next day and posted a funny snap of the trio looking a little worse for wear as they cuddled up together.
‘Nothing like a catnap in an airport after a fun night! @EmmaBunton @tanaramsay #DB40,’ the actress told her followers.
Victoria didn’t seem to be suffering too much though. Both she and Harper got decked out in pretty kaftans and took a stroll beside a pool, whilst 16-year-old Brooklyn chilled out with some Moroccan mint tea.
Was this the greatest 40th birthday of all time? Er, looks like it to us!
